From your description of where you intend to bash, a slash is not the way to go, Igot a Stampede for my son's first RC, way more ground clearance and fun to drive outside for sure...

How do I keep my inside rear tire planted in a high speed corner?

Not sure what direction to go here. Spec slash.

At my local track we have one big corner that I cannot seem to get right, truck always seems to spin the inside tire under power...

50W oil all...

Carnage!!! Well my son managed to finally hurthis Pede lol...he misjudged a high speed corner and hit the wall hard...snapped the caster block, bent the pin all to hell and one of the mounting tabs...

My son's been running his XL-5 in the snow since christmas, some real tires with a smaller pinion we dropped to a 16T really made snow going not much of a problem. Ijust make sure he drys it off as...

Traxxas only recommends the 23T for onroad use only, I'd go back down to the 19T atleast, personally Ijust geared my son's down to a 16T but he does run taller tires than the stockers...

Heh actually got to watch some race locally tonight. By far and away the Slash's were the most popular, but there was only a few races where they able to run up front, the SC10's for the most part...

Thanks Jeremy, that was exactly what Iwas looking for. I'll be getting that carrier/bearing upgrade asap. And Iagree, we've had the Pede since Christmas Eve and already Ican see myself wanting one...

Hey guys new to the forum and to the RCthing. Picked up a RTR Stampede XL-5 for my stepson. He's 12 and starting to get interested in cars and working on stuff, thought this would be a great start...
