The answers obviously got out of control.

For the record I have been an ARF flyer.  To be honest I dread to think of the first plane I tried to build on my own and even more so the ensuing...

Wow folks...why can't it just be about the fun of flying.  The camaraderie of being at the field with friends.  The joy of a successful flight and the sadness of a crashed plane.
