Some folks (myself included) are using the HXT500 from Hobbyking. It is generally assumed this is also the towerpro 9g servo, and maybe sold under another brand as well. I had to get creative to use...

Maybe I will contact horizon. I actually hadn't thought about it much since removing the gear. As for what I put in, a hobbyking trackstar 1/18 25a esc - which is a new favorite of mine for mini RCs....

Yup, I think that's the form that would fit in my RC18b also. I don't think that would go into a TAMiya Tamtech, and definitely wouldn't fit into my Losi Mini-Baja.

I got the 1/18 Dynamite Fuze combo for my hornet. It's the 7000kv unit. Really helps speed things up nicely! The ESC is a 35a and doesn't need a fan. (I didn't want a fan on this tiny thing either)...
