RE: Good Servo For Micro SCT Truck

The servo saver for a MiniT may not work either. Losi uses their werid servo output shaft size for that too. They do make a saver to fit the Hitec HS55 spline though, so if that JR servo has the same...

RE: Good Servo For Micro SCT Truck

Some folks (myself included) are using the HXT500 from Hobbyking. It is generally assumed this is also the towerpro 9g servo, and maybe sold under another brand as well. I had to get creative to use...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Maybe I will contact horizon. I actually hadn't thought about it much since removing the gear. As for what I put in, a hobbyking trackstar 1/18 25a esc - which is a new favorite of mine for mini RCs....

RE: Tamiya Tamtech Gear Thread

Hey guys, just wanted to post up that I've finally found a 3S lipo that fits the Tamtech battery compartment. And it's cheap! and in the US!

RE: Need urgent help with picking electronics for first electric

Those are both great choice for the ESC. However not sure about the motor. The "24" in 2435 means it's a 24mm diameter motor. Plus that motor is not car-specific and has open endbell, which means...

RE: Losi 1/18 mini desert buggy

Hi guys! So I read this whole thread and decided to grab a desert buggy from the 'bay (the sweet price really did it) Showed up yesterday and I immediately threw in a brushless motor and ESC. Cool...

RE: Tamiya TamTech Frog GB01 Build/Tear Down Thread

I have put a Hitec HS85MG (HS85BB is an option too) into my blue GB02. It's a nice servo, feels a bit smoother than the tamiya, but I had to mod it a little to fit. The Tamiya servo is specifically...

RE: Tamiya TamTech Frog GB01 Build/Tear Down Thread

Torque is relative, tons of factors contributing to the "driveability" <=> torque relationship. You have the driving surface you're on, vehicle weight, tire compound, gearing, radio settings, esc...

RE: Tamiya TamTech Frog GB01 Build/Tear Down Thread

I did post there too (bit of an attention ***** when it comes to my TTG babies)

As for the 5200 vs. 7800kv EZrun... I'd recommend the 7800kv actually. The 5200 was peppy but not as much of a...

RE: Tamiya TamTech Frog GB01 Build/Tear Down Thread

I've got quite a few tamtechs, most of them all with brushless systems. Have had really good experiences with the EZruns. I've both the 5200 and 7800kv versions. The 7800kv screams and you really...

RE: Cutting Liquid Mask Question

I brush on my liquid mask in alternating strokes. Meaning, coat #1 goes on horizontally. Coat #2 goes on vertically. I do 3 or 4 good coats and then get to cutting. I've also found placing the body...

RE: 2/3A Battery ID

Yup, I think that's the form that would fit in my RC18b also. I don't think that would go into a TAMiya Tamtech, and definitely wouldn't fit into my Losi Mini-Baja.

RE: Tires for Tamtech Frog?

The tires are glued I believe. You can probably strip that with acetone but that's some pretty nasty stuff. Wear gloves if you do. It's probably more convenient to just buy some new rims for the...

RE: Tamiya TamTech Frog GB01 Build/Tear Down Thread

I got the 1/18 Dynamite Fuze combo for my hornet. It's the 7000kv unit. Really helps speed things up nicely! The ESC is a 35a and doesn't need a fan. (I didn't want a fan on this tiny thing either)...

RE: Tamiya Tamtech GB02 Buggy Champ SuperStar - lighted edition ver.BA

Thanks guys.

@FeoTT, I'm using the standard spur - not sure what tooth count it is. This is mostly a shelf queen though, she's so pretty! (I have plenty of other Tamtechs for...

RE: Custom Diecast RC Cars 1:64 (conversion)

When I had braces (loooong ago) I had to use rubber bands with that hardware. You might try finding orthodontic rubber bands, they are very small and may fit over the wheels without needing to glue...

RE: eurgle 2.4 ghz

So is the KO wheel the best fit? It sounds like it's not exact but you made it work. Does anyone know if a futaba wheel is a better fit? Or another brand? I'd like to pimp up my new $20 (+$40...
