i know i'm excited to get filming with this boat too! so many more options than a prop drive! i should start filming this week sometime and the video should be up in about 2 weeks

this boat is finally finished! i got the servo and everything wired up, and its pretty packed in there but it works! I'll be uploading a video of it running soon! I only encountered one major problem...

Sorry for the long wait between updates, i took a little vacation, but i was finally able to get that hole sealed up, and now i'm ready for the electronics! i'm gonna be picking up the motor and esc...

no problem man, and thanks for the help, if i wasn't so darn busy trying to find this one last hole i might have been able to get the servo set today, oh well, there's always tomorrow i guess :/

well i'm still woking on sealing up the transom of the boat, i've got a few leaks but nothing too serious. once i'm finally done with his then i'll be able to start installing electronics!

i'm not really following you there.. the stock servo mount for the blast is connected to the receiver box, the motor mount, etc. but i think i will end up mounting it with double sided foam

well i managed to find a traxxas 2056 servo that i didn't know i had lol so i'm gonna stick that in there. i just gotta figure out how to mount it now

so traxxas's 41 oz micro servo should do the job easily enough? or would it be worth it to pay the extra five bucks and get the full size 80 oz one in your opinion?

I finally got the pump mounted! now i just have to put some silicone in the remaining holes and then i'm ready to mount my electronics! i'll be using a traxxas link 2.4 ghz system and a traxxas...

hmm, i'll consider it, it sounds like a solid idea,only problem i can think of is that my motor is already pretty close to the bottom of the hull, and that would just make it closer

oh ok, im pretty certain i got it this time, i thought you were talking about the bend between the ride pad and the transom. cutting it like you mentioned should give it a little better hydrodynamics...

Ok, as promised here are the pics of the solution that i came up with, it's not epoxied in yet, but i should be able to get to that tomorrow, then the real fun begins, after they ship me a new prop,...

i ran into a little problem, in that my hole for the jet was too high up and it made the intake sit quite far inside the boat, so in order to fix that problem i had to mount the nozzle, and then cut...

oh ok i see what you mean, if i ever have to do this again with a transom that isn't straight (hopefully not lol) i'll definitely do it that way, it looks much cleaner than mine is now

thanks for the adivice, and the more i think about it the more i do use reverse with my boats, but i'm still not sure yet, plus i figure rigging up a servo mount would be a bit of a hassle with the...

i got the hole put in for the jet drive and the intake, and hopefully tomorrow i'll be able to file it down so it fits exactly right. the hole in the transom and the intake came out a bit crooked,...

I started putting on the epoxy to hold the back plate on, but because the fiberglass sheet doesn't hold itself together the inside is a bit rough, but i'm just gonna take a file to that to smooth it...
