RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Got it running with no binding and then after 5 minutes tops I flipped and ended up breaking the shock eyelet. Not too big of a deal since they have spares included. Thing is that I wasn't able to...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Think I finally figures out what SS really means. I'm pretty sure HPI meant "Super Sloppy"...

As you may have seen I posted a video of the huge amount of suspension play in the front uprights,...

Get their 120A ESC.

Nothing but good feedback on the ESC itself and amazingly positive feedback on Stan's (Owner) customer service.

I was going to get the...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Check out the 120A ESC from www.brushlesshobbies.com I've seen nothing but good feedback for them so far.

Also would still like to see how the Mashers look on the XS because I think that might...

www.brushlesshobbies.com

There not waterproof but if you want you could do it yourself. I would pick up the 120A and when the Vapor Pro gets back sell it on eBay to recover funds.

Should have pictures tomorrow with white rims and possibly orange if I do decide to dye them.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Either going to get the HPI F5 or some dish rims.

Leaning toward the F5 rims because they aren't too "racey"...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Yeah if the chrome wouldn't chip off first run and look like crap I would just dye them orange and have some badass orange/chrome rims!

I'm thinking that my next body will be mostly blue and...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Kinda leaning toward a medium orange to try and match the color of the shock caps. Probably would call it a rusty orange that it kinda bright.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

That would look really good. Would also go with my next body since I plan on going to a blue/orange/white color scheme for my Savage XS wherever possible.

Orange it is! Will probably pick up...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Speaking of rims I'm stripping the chrome off my SS rims. Not sure if I want to keep them white to match the body or try dying them orange.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

I would say the XS SS is fine for a first timer as long as you do your research, which you have.

I'm personally going with the Castle Creations Mamba Max Pro SCT combo because the motor is the...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

The XS has a 540 sized motor with 540 sized can and all that good stuff. Reads thread on RCMonster that said it was similar to the Castle 1410 3800kv motor just cheaper made since they are mass...
