A 1/5 spitfire wing span would be about 88 inches. So its a smaller scale. A 1/6 pilot would be about right.

That pilot looks to be a Blue Box RAF Pilot. They haven't made them for some time although they do make other RAF Pilots.
Sometimes you can find one on Ebay but they don't come cheap.

FYI the Full Scale Spit flaps come down about 80 Degrees. So nearly straight down. They are pneumatic so they are either up or down. Try more flap for a slower landing
