A friend has the Torence Dr-1 and it uses bungees within the air foiled wing. The wing is fixed to the Under Carriage. It's kind of a pain to adjust/repair the bungee but it can be done. It would...

Im not sure what D-VI you have but Glen Torrence sells a kit of that plane. If you don't have that kit may be you could contact him to see how he does his gear. I would suspect he uses Bungee like...
