RE: YS110 cracked crankcase

After about 4 gallons of fuel, my YS 110 also developed a crack in the same place as yours. Also in the linked post below another member reports that his friend's 110 developed a crack in the case:...

Run out of adjustment on 63 FZ-S

Hi Dave,

I have a new 63 FZ-S I bought from Central. I broke it in on a stand with an APC 12x6, then switched to 13x4W for a few tanks. Mounted it on a profile plane, and now it has about 2...

RE: YS 110 muffler baffle question

Hey Dave,

Do you anticipate the need for needle adjustments upon removal of the baffle? I have now lost the second baffle on my 110, and I'm considering not replacing it. Will I need to richen...

Dave:
My 110 has been problematic since new (started running it in the spring of '05). I hope you can help me figure out the problem. First off, here is my setup:

RE: FZ110 fuel problems

I believe you have it just backwards, Dave. Only the one in the middle is the 120 with the nib pointing forward on my newer engine. The two outer ones are from my older 110, with the large plunger....

RE: FZ110 fuel problems

Ok, my new question is, do I want to replace my old large 110 plunger with the 120 version or the 91 version? My newer motor has the 120 version, but if the 91 version will work I think I'd prefer...

RE: FZ110 fuel problems

You know, I think you're right. I can swear I had 2 or 3 flights after re-installing the reg yesterday. Will the motor run with the reg installed backwards Dave?

As for which reg has the...

RE: FZ110 fuel problems

Thanks Dave.

After I posted that message it occurred to me that I have a second 110 NIB that I bought during the last production run. The regs are different! The newer reg has a bit of metal...

RE: FZ110 fuel problems

I have a related question Dave - I took my regulator off yesterday (110) and ran into a similar problem - how do you tell the correct orientation to re-install it? There seemed to be a little blob...

Low end needle query

Dave,

On the YS 4-strokes, is the low end needle valve considered an air bleed type? It would seem so from the adjustment directions (CW richen, CCW lean), but it certainly doesn't look like a...

Hello Dave,

During flight the end piece of the muffler on my YS 110 lost 2 screws and the baffle fell out. Luckily, the end piece was still hanging on by the last screw. Is there any way to...

RE: Original AccuCycle will not charge or trickle.

Mine does stupid things like this once in a while. I found that unplugging the charger from the outlet for a good 10 seconds and plugging it back in fixed it up. Kinda like rebooting Windows, I...

A friend built this kit for me, and got it to "ARF" stage for me to complete. I am mounting the engine, and the prop shaft is so far off center (laterally, towards the right) that it looks...

RE: Boxxer vs. Sig Ultimate Profile...my 1st build...

The Boxxer rocks. That's the designer, Jeremey Chin, in the pic flying his Boxxer last weekend in Houston. Great 3D plane. Forget the Sig Ultimate, its not a 3D'er (in fact I have a Sig Ultimate...

RE: Major dave patrick Ultimate problem!!!

Shimming the wing sounds crazy.

What did you glue the stab in with, epoxy? If so, there is a chance to remove it. You'll need another person to help, and a heat gun. Heat the glue joint up...

RE: Which OMP product?

My guess would be the 65" Yak. I'm putting a YS 110 in mine, I think its similar in weight to your Saito. But I think the Saito is too heavy for the Bipe - lets see if Mike from OMP chimes in with...
