Yes he did state that he wanted to aviod epoxy and yes there are tradeoffs, however, for strength, set time and weight a little epoxy can go a long way.

Don't laugh-

A foam safe glue (slight weight consideration) is the purple epoxy (2 part) from Wal-Mart.

Apply it with small dowel rod and you will have alot of success

Don't let it hit the ground!

I have seen first hand what the FiXX(it) does after a couple landings.

The Z foam bounces once and then it will practically crumble!

My friends boy bounced one...
