Make a plug from stacked (glued) blue styrofoam (or wood) and glass it, then add the panel lines with tape.
Then take a clear 2-liter...

I have one of those for my .60 Top Flite Corsair, but I havent run it yet,.. I think it will be perfect though, and I know it would fit in the Hellcat cowl.

That's an awesome pic. I've been working on that Hangar 9 Hellcat.. The open areas have been sheeted, so I'm almost ready to glass it.

To anyone out there building one of these, I would suggest throwing the stock (plastic) cowl in the trash and get a fiberglass cowl.
I went through the trouble of trying the stock one and it cracks...

Nope, we bypassed the fueler and still had the same problem. I think it may be a bad o-ring in the needle valve. I picked up a new one and will give it a try....

Added a bomb rack. Radio problem resolved by changing Rx from a PPM to a PCM. Test flights soon...

Oh yeah, lets get some good quality pics. I'll bring the static prop and get the bomb slung under it.

btw, I was having some trouble with my fueler too. I bypassed it with a coupler and the engine...

Some of us have. I added a layer balsa sheet to the existing slab, then sanded it all to an airfoil shape. I used lightweight filler to fair it into the fuselage.

10-1/2 lbs Glassed and Painted (with 1/2 pound of lead in the nose) is awesome.
