Yes, they work fine now, just needed a bit more clearance for the wheels. They worked well on the ground but in the air the slipstream pushed them back a few thou enough to rub against the well...

Thanks for your comments guys. I think this old iphone video on a gloomy dark day has the Dauntless amongst other aircraft before I animated the crew. I had problems with the retracts that day...

Like me if you like to use those 1/6 BBI etc figures in your warbirds then these days with mini high torque servos costing little and multi channel radios its easy to have a go animating them.
