Tried to run my 55 again today. After everything seems the screen type gasket on the side opp. of the diaphram side was flipped over. When I flipped it over and now there are 5 holes that line up....

Today, I cleamed the screen ( there was 2-3 little pieces of stuf in it ). The one thing I did notice was, the screen type gasket looked like it was upside down. The way it was, most of the passages...

Finally retried running my 55. Adjusted needles in and out, still doesn't change it. Runs for a few seconds then dies. Does run longer with choke part. closed. I'll pull the carb off and check screen...

Thanks to all who had suggestions to help my problem. Seems opening the high and low needles 1/2 turn each has solved the problem. Now all i need to do is adjust the needles since it's easier to do...

DLE 55 won't run

Have a new DLE55. It won't run after the engine fires. Runs just a second or two then dies. Today when trying, found if I closed the choke a little it would run fine. It would idle, and accelerate...

Sorry- Already got it put back together. Runs just fine now. Basically the prop,apdt, and the hub slide 3/8 of an inch. The pickup for the ign was inside of the hub. As far as having valleyveiw put...

I didn't get any ins. Just a bag with the adpt, 4 screws. and a nut. I thought it needed a nut, should ask before assuming it's right. Yes I know what assumes mean. Thanks for the info

I just took off the prop adpt.  It's missing the nut to hold the hub on.  I thought it should have one but it didn't come with one.  Could I cut the long shafted nut off and use it???   If it did...

Just fired up my new DLE30. Started right up, 4seconds later died and made a funny sound. Tried starting it 6-8 more times. After the first time, when it started, it ran for a second or twoeach time...

My wing tube is way to tight. Afraid that I could break something. I've taken the anodized off of the tube but still to tight. I've read posts about sanding the wing sockets. They are pretty thin...

I had one years ago. It had a G62 in it. Seemed to take a small amout of lead upfront. The lightest fix would be to shim the motor farther out.

Dear TiredolMan- I do realize that glow and gas are different. This will be my 8th gasser. I've had 2 sizes of Quadras and 3 sizes of Zenoahs. Over the last 25 years of flying, if I don't know I ask....
