I would say get another spur gear for it.

If the diff plates are straight and contact the balls all the way around, there is no reason for the spur to wobble. Try a Robinson, had good luck with...

The RPM cover in the Tower Hobby link above is exactly what we ordered and they fit our B4's (3 of them) with no modification at all. Cap will even cover the adjustment screw, nothing sticking out...

Actually, all the 410's have brakes (you're right about no reverse though) and No.. my guess is that the red wire you are talking about is for the FET servo connection. You probably don't need that....
