RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

Did you replace the hpi ones or with aftermarket ones or hpi? Cause you may want to try the hr ones instead.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

It's a 540 sized 36mm motor I would stay in the 3500-4000kv range 2800 would be pretty slow for me anyways. I have been running the castle 1410 3800 with a 32t pinion in mine for about 6 months and...

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

I know they make 1/10 scale I just don't think they are 4 pole, the only 4 pole that I know they make is 1/8 scale. It doesn't say 4 pole anywhere that I can see but maybe I am wrong.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

That's when you switch to red loctite never had a problem after the first day. I used the red just to be sure and it worked for me anyways. Getting the pinion off is a whole different story lol.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

I didn't think leopard motors made a 4 pole motor for 1/10 scale. Get the castle 1410 3800 runs cool even geared up on 3s and it is 4 pole.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

You can replace them with hot racing hardened cups I have been running those for about 25 packs and no wear on them at all.

You can get them at liquidrc.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

I would recommend these batteries much more powerful and higher quality and still at a good price.

RE: Official HPI Savage Flux XS thread...

RPM makes them for traxxas but pretty much any ends from a 1/10 scale shock should work. I have traxxas ends on the back I had a couple in my parts box but I put RPM #80472 on the front. I broke them...
