Sorry to hear about your loss. Know the feeling all to well. I can see where the 9 lbs of S thrust I get with the Saito wouldn't be adequate for this "hog". The Evolution 735R sure would be a...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

Good to know mixes. I fly scale (at best) haven't aquired the skills of sport flying. I mix a little up throtle (couple of clicks) with flap to minimize stall during landing and it also smoother...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

You are righ on jaka

This is my approach somewhat as well since I have a couple of war birds, it helps with the nose over problem too. However, if you talk to most of the guys at my field, whom I...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

But why?
To make tthe RC flight experience more interesting by adding another dimension.To test the theory on scale planes. To fly at slower speeds without flaps. To see if it works. To have fun...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

Good point AA5BY.
If you have a minor issue with a plane that can be corrected by electronic in-put, go for it Magor issues, such as proper alignment of wing and tail, balance and thrust alignment...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

Thanks jaka.
I agree, it is not a necessary element for typical flight for a person, like myself,who enjoys scaleflying and has the plane correctlytrimedat a particularspeed, which is...

RE: Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

Mix Elevator with Throttle for Scale Flight?

Has anyone given this a try;
Mix up-elevator with the throttleat idle tomid throttle (depending on the plane and power plant). The idea is to add a predetemined amount of up-elevator at lower...
