RE: Andy Sheber's Pitts ARF by RC Guys

Torn between this and the GP Ultimate. To me a Pitts is much prettier, just wondering how you guys like the overall construction quality on this one. The GP I can get $130 cheaper than the Pitts...

RE: range check

with a new install I would range check a 72mhz at least 100-150 ft with the antenna collapsed, engine/motor running (use helper or tiedown of course). antenna pointed directly at the model and...

RE: sig/gp

I second the goldberg! been flying mine for almost 18 years and it always gets complements on the looks/flight performance!

The full span option is good too, floats like a trainer but will do...

RE: tric. landing

You may have to release some rudder input once the nosewheel touches, but not all, depending on how much nosewheel deflection you have. Depending on how strong the x-wind the plane may still...

RE: 1/2A build with standard servos

I've had standard servos on a plane this size and it was overkill, (long time ago, was a flybaby designed for .074 power). 4 channel and I used 4 standard servos because back then micros were way...

RE: Goose's TWM 27% Ultimate assembly

Well with about a week of bad weather coming decided to install the cockpit HD video and replace my dead pilot. Have to wait to see how it works, but I have reinforced as much as practical to...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Well I agonized over the options at the LHS and finally pulled the trigger and bought a Rev! If the fitzpatrick fits at the standard 9 oclock it will be tight, the muffler is right up against the...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Tip of the pipe is only 5/8". Not sure about diverter, haven't tried it. I've tried them on a few motors and it tended to make them overheat. It has never flown. I ran it on the bench about 15 years...

RE: New Great Planes Revolver

Ok Revolver fans, need some help to decide if I will get one! I have this hot number to put in there, but due to the rarity and unique design, there is no pitts muffler or a muffler alternative that...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

Thanks for the tip, the pulse looks like a good candidate. What size motor is on your escapade landeck? I just figured the 61 was so close to the 55AX everyone is using it wouldn't make a...

RE: Great Planes Escapade .40 ARF

I'm really considering one of these for an engine that needs a home. It's a Fitzpatrick .61 I bought new about 15 years ago, (because it was a good deal). Due to the mirror polish and unique look...

RE: Hostetler Skybolt/Saito 300 twin combo

I have neither, but a few thoughts did come up. I think the 300T would fly it, but more scale than unlimited aerobat. Looks like a light wingloading so that is in your favor. You may have to add...

RE: receiver fit question

I just got one of these and I used a full size 8 channel rx at first, it fit OK, but I got a hitec micro 05s and it is soooo much smaller and lighter! With the big rx, I had trouble fitting my long...

RE: Cherokee Flap Help

short arm on servo and long arm on control surface will give you the least amount of control deflection. I don't have that radio so I'm not sure if it has ATV for that channel, my futaba 8U does

RE: Goose's TWM 27% Ultimate assembly

the triangle stock is glued to the balsa sheeting that covers the foam (i cut away the china-coat of course) It seems to be adequate and spreads the load although a better still solution might be to...

RE: Goose's TWM 27% Ultimate assembly

I think we may be some of the few with this model, but that isn't a bad thing! On a flight line full of Edges and Extras, the Ultimate looks almost defiant. the HS5625's should do you right. I...

RE: Goose's TWM 27% Ultimate assembly

Notice the way my aileron servos are mounted. In the other pic you can see where I put some triangle around the cabanes, negative G's seem to flex the ply that the cabanes attach to and it tries to...

RE: Goose's TWM 27% Ultimate assembly

Looks like they've changed it since I built mine 4 or 5 years ago. My aileron servos aren't in covered bays, they just hang out in the breeze. The long servo arms/big surfaces seem to be hard on...

RE: CL 215 form KMP

Hey guys I'm about to pull the trigger on one of these and want to go with the RCV engines. Big question is will the 60 RCV haul it around on one engine, or will it be a nail-biter trying to circle...

RE: Moving the engine for CG adjustment?

If you know the distance that you would like the CG to move, you can apply the weight shift formula, which should tell you how far you would have to move your engine to get the desired result. W*d/w...
