HPI, Associated, and Losi are my favorites. I would also mention traxxas as having SOME good quality and durable trucks, but i find they are way over priced for what they are, so wouldn't recommend...

Also, most plastic parts like the a-arms, bumpers, bulheads, etc.. are a little different. Also electronics are different, of course.

Agreed. Out of the list the picco and the lrp 30 are probably the best engines. I also run an lrp 30 in my savage and it is my favorite motor I have ever run in that truck.
