well, I think I figured it out.  The Transmitter manual says you should be able to set the flap channel (ch6) end point from +150% to -150%, but my transmitter doesn't allow - settings on this...

I guess its not just signal strength, but the pulse shape and form which the DSP in the corona has to decode. For what ever reason, these two different corona RS61011 with two different channel 47...

Well, I have done some more trouble shooting, and found after charging my RD8000 overnight the turnigy 2600 mah nimh battery voltage now reads 11.2v vs about 10.6 when the reciever problems occured....
