RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

Addiction all repaired and maidened last Saturday. My new motor set-up, using the Dualsky 2834CA-10 and just 1600mah LiPos was great. Plenty of pull on an 11x5.5e APC and after a 6 minute flight...

RE: seagull edge 540 .60-.91 question!

lippucci,

I have what I believe is a very similar ASP 91fs in mine. Has been a bit lacking turning a 15x4w on 5% Nitro.

As I've had this plane a while and it's taken one or two knocks,...

RE: How to hover?

I'd go with the advice to learn how to Harrier first.

I've been spending the last month or so just Harriering on every flight - absolutely nothing else at all. I've lost count of how many...

RE: Seagull Yak?

This plane's colour scheme looks great - very tempting!

I've got the similarly sized Edge and it's getting a bit well-worn after one or three dings, plus like R3D Ryd3r, I've only got an ASP...

RE: HOW-To..3D maneuvers

Harrier progress!

I'm focussing on the Harrier/Elevator and had another 4 flights this morning. Set the alarm for 06:00 and up the park by 06:30 - I must be mad!

Anyway, had a great time....

RE: Completed my Big Banchee - Prop advice?

Sounds similar to the spec of the E-Flite Eratix - I haven't got one but remember a review and he ran it on a 14x7e APC. Might be worth a try - difficult to be more specific without the motor power...

RE: How to figure what prop to use for electric motor

Your max revs will drop as a consequence of the lower potential across the battery.

What sort of model is it? A 14x10 will be good for speed... What is the power rating and Kv's? If it's a low...

RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

I've got a dualsky in my Katana MD and it's been faultless and still going strong after 3 years. I've actually gone for the newer 2834 - half the price of a Thrust 20, although not quite as powerful....

RE: Completed my Big Banchee - Prop advice?

Not familiar with the model - what's the wingspan and how much does it weigh? Do you have an equivelent IC engine size rating for it?

RE: Edge 540T E-Performance Series 3D EP ARF 50

Just to clarify a little bit on the motor/ESC thing. The current draw is very dependent on the size of the propeller and the Kv rating - RPM-per-Volt. Electric motors will always try to turn whatever...

RE: Precision Aerobatics Addiction

I dinged my Addiction into a ceiling trying to fly indoors a year or so back (ambition over ability!!!!).

I'm finally lining her up for repairs and noticed that some folks had also dinged theirs...

RE: 3D Newbie Questions + Progress report

I'm looking at a new airframe that's tough enough to survive a few arrivals. Over in the UK we have an importer of the Telink EPP jobbies - ~43" electric on 3s Lipo. Should go well in early morning...

RE: 3D Newbie Questions + Progress report

I'm currently picking up trying to learn 3D again, after having had a quiet season or two recently.

I'm following the advice of Shahid Bangalawala, who's currently doing a series of articles for...

RE: seagull edge 540 .60-.91 question!

I have a Seagull Edge 540 63".

I have an ASP 91fs (aka Magnum/SC) and it is really a bit underpowered. I would recommend either a 120fs or 91 2st. I'm running a 15x4w APC which I think is a good...

RE: Multiplex/Hitec and 2,4 GHz?

If, as and when Hitec release a 2.4Ghz system, will it be something completely new or will it be an RF module that will be plug-compatible with the plug-in RF module on, for example, the Optic 6?

RE: Optic 6 looses its sense of direction

Apologies!

This was not the radio's fault. It appears that there is something wrong with the carb. on my engine such that when the barrel is fully closed the engine speeds up! Possibly an air...

Optic 6 looses its sense of direction

I have the throttle channel reversed and had assumed that other throttle-related controls, such as the trim and throttle-cut would take their que from this, but apparently not.

Firstly, the trim...

RE: Aeroworks 540 Edge T .040 ->061

Mike in DC describes the same technique that I use.

Just started remembering to carry the Tx to behind the plane, as it's potentially just as dangerous reaching forward to pick up the Tx if you...
