Are you saying that the engine moves a little? If so, it's going to change the gear mesh and lead to stripped gears. You've got to figure out what's causing the flex.

Get some RPM shock towers, arms and bumpers. I also recommend some better shocks, I'm running shocks from a Losi Ten-T on my Nitro Rusty and they're great. If you can't swing a new set of shocks, you...

No problem man. I really recommend the 6v hump pack though, you're only getting 4.8v with those batteries, your servos will be faster a stronger with the 6v. What terrain do you spend most of your...

The HD rear drive shafts from a Slash 4x4,TRA6852X, are a good upgrade over the stock shafts. I'd also recommend getting a 2.4 radio system, if not, at least get a fail safe. I'd also ditch the AAs...

I used a pair of needle nose vise grip pliers to hold the sift still and then took my Dremel to it. I made sure I covered all opening on the motor though, you don't want metal shavings in there.

Yep, stock ESC. The only bad thing is the fact that it's an airplane motor so you'll have to grind a flat spot for the pinion. Other than that though, it seems to be a great little motor.

I'm running an ElectriFly S-600 in my daughter's, it definitely seems to be a better motor and is around the same price. It seems to have more torque, I added a few teeth to the pinion and the temps...

RE: jato 3.3 upgrades help?

Yes, but I'd get the BUKU brand, some of the cheaper ones on the bay will wear out fast. I agree Mattster1971 about the RPM arms, and chassis supportI'd also recommend getting a TBR bumper. I...

RE: starting issue

Have you replaced the clutch? If not, the clutch is putting too much drag on the engine and it won't allow it to start, I'd start by replacing the clutch.

RE: New Member like to introduce my truck

Nice truck man. As stated before, I would recommend replacing the Integy parts with RPM ones, RPM are made of an extremely durable nylon blend. They can take some serious abuse and will flex instead...

RE: Jato 3.3 running issues

Have you checked your clutches? They could be slipping, this will allow the engine to rev without the truck moving much.

RE: 1/5 Scale Wheels & Tires on XXL

Sorry I haven't updated this, I'm moving to England and my house is getting packed tomorrow. I decided to scrap the Savage adapters (I'll try them later), and I found a set of the Proline 23mm hexes....

RE: Newbie with a new Nitro

Preheat the engine a good bit, you can use a hair dryer. What are your outside temps? You may have to wrap the head to keep the temps up.

1/5 Scale Wheels & Tires on XXL

I just grabbed a set of 1/5 scale rear Bow-Ties on Desperados, I'm having to mod the HPI adapters to work on the XXL though. First I had to drill the center out to allow the axle to go through it,...

RE: Project SiNiST3R Jato Ground Up Build

The top plate came out nice, it looks really nice with the chassis. I hope you don't have to adjust the steering servo mount though, it looks like it'll be black under the screws.

RE: Traxxas Nitro Rustler, too much for beginner?

The Rustler is great for beginners, super easy to work on and can handle some serious abuse with just a few upgrades. I have mine with a Dynamite .19, and beat the crap out of it, it's had all 3...

RE: My take on Traxxas

The ESCs go for $85 but I'm getting both the ESC and Motor for $95. I do agree that their Trade Up program on the Nitro engines is a rip off, unless you engine is COMPLETELY destroyed or you are...
