From what I can find, it appears power was in the order of .35 hp or thereabouts. Not stellar performance. A good Miles Special 5 c.c. has more.

Here we have two cross flow scavenged diesels from Modela.

A 2.0 DFS, and a 1.5 DFS.

The first has a 'flat top' piston. The second has a shallow 'conical top' piston.

If anyone can explain...

Thanks for that Steve. Chris advised that the Allbon Dart has a conical crown piston. When the Dart became DC badged the piston was changed to a flat crown. The Allbon's are reputedly faster.
