Not too unlikely. The Hybrids already have something called "regenerative braking" where when the car is braking or coasting, the electric motor turns into a generator and recharges the battery. ...

Here's my take on the future R/C

Batteries will be replaced with hydrogen fuel cells. Toshiba was showing prototype hydrogen fuel cells for laptops at the 2007 CES show.
