Mike, when I cut it with denatured alcohol it becomes very thin and will really wick into the wood which is perfect for you. Besides the fuel proofing it will strengthen the wood as an added bonus!...

Matt I can vouch that Zap's Z-Poxy Finishing Resin cut with denatured alcohol is a great fuel proofer if you are in need of an alternate.

Well done Matt! Do yourself a favor, next time don't glue those wing dowels in quite yet. All they'll do is make it a pain to cover around them. Glue them in after you've finished covering the wing.

I would agree with you Truckracer, anything that you can do to spread the load on those gear blocks the better. The additional weight penalty is worth the added strength in that area...
