Fyi , I managed to keep my budget below 350 and that included the dx7 radio and r600 spektrum reciever I invested in. you will need minimum 6 channels to control the model , 7 if you have landing...

Ok update for parts being collected. These parts were ordered last friday previously. I opted for axi 2814/10 because it will allow me to use lower pitch and higher rpm for smoother power delivery....

Fyi with the specs provided I assumed your flying saucer was going to be 18 - 22 inches , if you want 30 to 50 inches there is a different but similar approach but it costs prob 200 to 300 dollars...

Depending on how large you want this model will greatly change the equipment needed. I would say for vtol you need to keep the gross model weight well below 5 pounds , your goal probably 3 pounds but...
