I would look into Phoenix flight sim. You can trim the T-rex 450 sport or pro to fly just like your machine. That way you can really get some solid practice.

Thats my thoughts to start with. I have said on another forum I feel I'mmechaniclly sound enough to check that the hardware is built and set up perfectly. Its the electronics that worry me.

Well with coax one thing to remember is they seem to have lower power and speeds (great for learning, bad for outside) So no matter which of the blade heli's you get think of coax as an indoor heli....
