Darn, I thought the trx connectors were rated up to 100A http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/js/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/sad_smile.gif? Now that I've googled it I find anything from 30-100A....

Li-po cutoff set properly on the esc?? That Aquastar has auto-detect or set to your cell count and will shut/slow down when minimum voltage reached (3v a cell) unless you have it disabled?? Not sure...

TRX connectors for me (on everything!) and yep, had one of those jigs but got sick of the smoke lol, either Mr Jig or 17mm slab of cement sheet!

I used a spray can enamel (Dulux), undercoating first, top coats, then finished with a clear spray lacquer. While it looked really impressive and shiny it took forever for the paint to harden...

really like that bearing mod damfurst, surely will keep more water out than a loose rubber seal? curious to know how you hold the bearing in place? CA adhesive or just it just jam in there tight?

ive got 2 of the leopard 2040 4450kv and used it for my first motor, had no problems but felt it was lacking "torque"? so changed to a 3500kv outrunner

i used longer screws to hold the thingymajig to the transom and they protruded into the hull, the water pressure when running forced the water to run up the thread into the inside of the boat, issue...

Also make sure that the impeller hasnt slipped fwd up the shaft causing cavitation &amp; mega lack of performance, pretty sure that was one of my, (2.3 million), issues that I am still working...

Ha! you have been using the same skywing 60A esc i have, I bought 3 ($12each E-bay)and managed to fry 1 courtesy of the dog biting the boat as it was flying past and puncturing the hull filling it...

well ive always found hobbyking good to deal with. they have tons and tons of stuff i dont need, but still seem to buy, postage is reasonable, prices are great, service is good! i had an order 2 days...

yes i do seem to be getting a bit more speed on the 3s, but dont seem to get to the point of "more noise, no extra speed"?
might try a larger size motor and see how that goes
