but if each individual pack comes with a balancing lead, would I use those or clip and attach a 4s lead? and would that make it a 4s2p?

SkyLipo, BlueLipo, or Turnigy... All have 2S1P 40C 5000mAh for about the same price ($30 USD).

Not outright performance, but for ease of use, etc... Anyone used these?

Again, not "racing" these hard, just for fun. Hobbyparz has a Tacon LBP3674-B/5D-1300KV for $45.00 USD...
