RE: New to R/C and E Revo

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

I would stick with the stock 18T pinion and the stock 54T spur for now.  That will give you plenty of speed and power with 4s or 6s LiPos until you get to know the truck a lot better.

And you...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

LiPo batteries can be shipped to Canada.  They just can't use United States Postal Service to get there.

Since you are looking for 4s LiPos, check out the 2s batteries from SPC racing.

The 2s,...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

Hardened steel pinion, yes.  Stick with a plastic spur.  It is a pain when they strip, yes, but you need it to be a failure point.  Otherwise, if something goes wrong with the gear mesh or some other...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

If you already have the 18/54 setup installed, I would suggest running it with that gearing on 4s for a while, until you decide what you like.

You could also run 18/65 (the stock out of the box...

RE: New to R/C and E Revo

You can run 18T pinion, 54T spur with those batteries without much trouble.  I run that gearing setup on mine running 4s (you're running 6s) so you should have no trouble.

Understand that 6s is a...
