Yes tear the diffs apart n put a small amount of grease on them, this is a good time to check the play and shim if needed. Spur n pinion I would not grease as being exposed it will hold dirt n wear...

Gear mesh 2 loose or a stone maybe got stuck in there, yes play in the center shafts is normal.

we run and have customers running 3s on the caldera xb! dual motor fans and a larger 12 volt fan on esc with external bec and never have had an issue! crazy fast!!!! I have 1 customer running a 3s...
