Hyperion ZS 4035-12 with ATLAS 90 amp OPTO ESC

Hi All I am using a Hyperion ZS 4035-12 motor with a Hyperion Atlas 90 amp OPTO esc with 8S LiPo. Previously I was using a turnigy 100 amp superbrain esc and was achieving a current draw of 60 amps...

RE: 10kg Flyin King with Hyperion ZS4035-12

RE: 10kg Flyin King with Hyperion ZS4035-12

Hello,
I am using a eagletree power panel which is failry accurate as I have also got the same results using another wattmeter. By the way I think I am close to figuring out the problem. I plugged...

RE: 10kg Flyin King with Hyperion ZS4035-12

I tried a 17x12 APC prop today and got 28A current draw which is an improvement from before and most likely will increase the amount of current draw as propeller diameter is increased. So obviously...

RE: 10kg Flyin King with Hyperion ZS4035-12

Thanks for your prompt replies,
Yeah I get similar results using motocalc but when I try and test the actual motor with 8s, the 14x12 given only a current draw of 26A and the 15x10 gives only 15A....

RE: Determining AWG of silicon wires (using four, 4 cell 5800mAH LiPo)

The plane being used is a Flyin King fuselage with a custom built wing which is somewhat going to improve lift and reduce drag if calculations are done right.  This plane will be carrying a heavy...

RE: Determining AWG of silicon wires (using four, 4 cell 5800mAH LiPo)

Okay, so using 12AWG silicon wires for batteries in parallel shouldn't be any problem. What is the best and most accurate way to determine how much ampage my motor is taking during takeoff, cruise...

RE: Determining AWG of silicon wires (using four, 4 cell 5800mAH LiPo)

I agrre with all of you. I did a simple mistake in my earlier post. The plane is most likely going to be set to cruise at approximately 18-20m/s which is going to require 170W of power which gives...

Determining AWG of silicon wires (using four, 4 cell 5800mAH LiPo)

Hello,
I have got four 5800mAH LiPo batteries with a discharge of 25-35C which are all identical and are four cell Lipo's. I have created 2 series adapters with dean connections. I am connecting two...
