Lipo batteries will get you really go performance.  I have a Volcano S30 that originally had a SH.18 on it. changed it to a OS.21. And not finally converted to a Brushless truck with a 1/8 size...

I had the same issue with my son's exceed infiniy. It has the same style ESC. It end up being a ESC being bad. Another way to rule out ur receiver is swap the plugs were ur servo and ESC plug into....

Well my Stampedee has been modified too..;). I this one years ago when the first came out and decided it was two short wheel base so used a piece of .060" Aluminum and made a new Front plate for it....

Well i tried. I got a Hobbywing programming box and tried to hook it up. It  won't read the ESC it wil hook to my computer but won't hook to the ESC. So figure it is fried. Time to look for a new ESC.
