It's hard to argue that point but my ops was turning 14.5k with an MK 11.5 X 8 on the ground. Most other guys were turning the same with 11 X 7s. And most importantly, it did that for 3 seasons!!! ...

I completely understand! That is the same reason I want to build the TT 4. Plus, I am going to use the old OPS .60 and the smaller version TT would probably be overpowered.

Thanks for posting the link to the US supplier of Fly Models! I bought an MX2 last year from Nitro Planes for $145 bucks and am very pleasantly surprised at how good it flys. Rolls are very axial...

Just watch out when doing knife edges. It is easy to cause a snap roll and a viscous spin that takes quite a bit of height to recover from.

And I had to add quite a bit of weight in the nose to...

I'm glad you guys are having success with this plane. I found that I could stall the elevator very easily. Any maneuver that required more than medium amount of elevator throw was unattainable with...

RE: Phoenix Edge 540 1.20

I understand your preference, but do yourself a favor and check out the XQ 4013 (http://www.redwingrc.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=14) servos at Redwing RC. They are only $34...

RE: Phoenix Edge 540 1.20

Before you drop some coins on that servo, take a look at the XQpower 4020 servos from Redwing RC. You can get 5 for $40/piece ($47 for 1) and they will be no compromise servo for a 50cc airframe if...

RE: RC Reciever for light switch

I just built that circuit for controlling an on board glow driver. I didn't have a strip layout so I did my own and came very close to what you posted. It works as advertised to switch in a...

RE: OS 120 AX Problem ?

For what it's worth, I think a 17x6 is just a bit too much prop for a cowled 1.20. You will get more hp at >8500 and it will run cooler. Also, 10% or less nitro.will run cooler with only a minor hit...

RE: Phoenix Edge 540 1.20

Now I feel stupid. I had bought this very assembly a week ago at my LHS. I installed it yesterday and being cheap, I reused the original tailwheel and it works great.

I've not had good luck with...

RE: Phoenix Edge 540 1.20

Hey proteus!

Which tailwheel assembly did you change to in the latest pictures? The one included in the kit is a bit overkill in weight in my case because I'm using an ASP 1.20 and need to add 4...

RE: Help aligning the Horz Stab on phx .46 extra 300

I just took a look at the manual and your 300s is the same construction for the stabilizer as my 120 size Phoenix Edge 540.

Push the stabilizer into the slot and measure the leading edge of the...

RE: OS 120 AX Problem ?

Just for reference, I have a new ASP 1.20 2c that I've been tweaking and was having problems loading up in the midrange with the standard muffler pressure. I wanted to move my tank to the CG so I...
