+1 Beast, I agree.  I think the more extreme drivetrains (MMP, Tekin,etc) would put extra strain on the diffs, but using the Summit where it shines out of the box, I agree.  I don't think aluminum...

+1 on the WD, I add one additional step though. After cleaning and thenlubing with the WD, I let it set for a bit. I then blow it off with compressed air(using my eye protection) to remove any excess...

This particular link states .047 micro farad capacitors. Anything larger (ie. .1 micro farad, 1 microfarad will do fine too). The key is to use these ceramic disk capacitors and not electrolytics.

So, you are having problems without the caps. Is it a range issue or glitching, or both?Iwas worried, so Iput them on mine. What pinion are you running? I'm using 18p/68s and love it:)

My stock wheels/tires weigh2.8 lbs,I do not have the beadlocks on them though :)

There is a video on YouTube with twin Dewalts. I don't remember if he had them both on one ESC or not. He did go into overtemp pretty quickly though. Also the Canyons were not liking the speed...

That's right 18 or 19, remember it's a 32 pitch with a 5mm hole. It can also be referred to as a "mod .8", same thing for our machine. I run the 18 with stock Canyon tires and Proline Trenchers.

The Dewalt took me from 19mph to 25mph. To get the speed you've got to up the pinion to 18 or 19. The Dewalt is fine with it.
