In my opinion, 2 mm Ply would be better as compare to door skin, its your choice.

In absence of Long Balsa and air craft ply , i have decide to use locally available carpenter ply ( 2.5 mm ) for this build. All parts were cutted with Zigsaw.

will update the further build.
