RE: GWS Tiger Moth

I was referring to the pico, but all ideas are very welcome.
Steve, those wing reinforcements look good. The struts turned out very well with that paint on them. I''ve problems with the struts a...

GWS Tiger Moth

Hi,
I fly the GWS Tiger Moth, and I'm thinking of doing it up a bit. Anyone who's done any mods on one of these or a plane like it, or anyone with any ideas, please post them here. Also, one...

RE: Transporting

Thanks for all you advice, I'm starting to get some ideas brewing in my head now.... Probably a cradle made from foam, or cardboard. But it is quite a small car and there really isnt any space to lie...

RE: Transporting

I like the idea of the tail hook but the Tiger Moth tail is made out of foam 2 or 3mm thick, so I wouldn't put any weight on it.
How would I stop if from swinging around if it was tied up?
Thanks...

I'd love to help, but I can't. I think you're probably asking this question at the wrong place.

RE: The dreaded flat spin

Generally, in a spin or in any other stalled condition, aileron has the opposite effect if any. A stall is cause by going past the critical angle of attack. If you are stalled and apply aileron to...

RE: Aerobird, unresponsive

After reading about putting weights in the plane for slope soaring, I thought this was relevant.
An interesting flight fact:
adding weight to an aeroplane does not effect the angle of descent....

RE: Built Slow Stick and soloed today :)

The great thing about slow flying is that you can fly them that low! I have a GWS Tiger Moth and an Aerobird. I fly my Tiger Moth t Head height or even lower! It is so much fun! I wouldn't dare fly...

RE: Aerobird Challenger is a disgrace!

Hobbyzone prosucts are very popular, and for good reason. I would recommend that you or anyone buy from them, and if you have any problems with their products contact them. If you do the range test...

RE: Aerobird Challenger is a disgrace!

I don't think it is a common problem. Yours could probably be defective. Ring up Hobbyzone, they might replace it for you. I have the Aerobird (exactly the same but with no X-port) and have been able...

RE: A week of first's

I suppose it must be disapointing going to the park with a plane, and going back home without one, not even a wreckage. Elevator sounds like a good idea to me, if you could fly that one ok you should...

I don't know about your problem, but there is a simulator forum, maybe you should try there.

RE: Backyard Hobbies Warning

I have been mucked around like this before.
I crashed my aerobird and it rolled into the creek (on the first day i flew it), and one of the servos was not working properly. I rang the hobby shop...

RE: Question from a beginner

An instructor is definately the best way to go. No chance of spending money on something you're gonna crash.
Learning on a parkflyer is also an OK way to do it in my opinion. You will crash and...

I started with the Aerobird and had to buy a replacement fuselage during the learning stages. My little brother has no...

RE: Beerobird Challenger

From what I understand, you just put a prop on a beer box. If it is just a beer box, then the question isn't why doesn't it fly, the question is why would it fly? There needs to be some basic...
