A&P = Airframe and Powerplant mechanic. An FAA certified aircraft mechanic holds a licensce to work on civilian and commercial aircraft. Could be just and A or a P but most get both while in school....

Also went to Clover Park in Tacoma while a Crew Chief at McChord on C-141's from 86-91. It was just a A&P familiarization course. Got my A&P and was off to the airlines. First Delta in...
