Most of 'em I've seen are 10-24. The Great Planes ARF comes with standard hardware, not metric.

There is a lot of room behind the firewall that can be accessed by cutting a hatch into the recessed area just behind the firewall. Installing a hatch there also allows you to epoxy the firewall...

Have you looked at Dubro's 4 Stroke Throttle Linkage? It's worth a look because it helps offset the throttle rod closer to the side of the fuselage and your clevis away from the firewall.
