RE: 1960 Fox Combat Special: Orig. Box, Manual & Even A Service Bulletin!

"And let me know if you/anyone wants to see a scan of bulletin...I'm thinking a LOT of 1960-model owners would love to see that, as most of them probby never even noticed the problem & thus never got...

RE: OS 40FP with DDD

The only diesel engine I've run was a McCoy .09 back in the '60's. I was an inexperienced teenager and it was my first diesel engine. I had a couple of runs on a test stand fiddling with the needle...

RE: Vintage Sig R-C Sport Build Thread

"without furthering the depletion of my education funds on glow fuel"
Regarding this, remember that a .15 glow engine really doesn't use that much fuel. "Back in the day" my OS .15 MAX powered...

RE: OS engine convert

Maurice,

You will probably be satisfied with it as-is. If later you feel the need to alter the engine, consider installing a LA .40 piston/cylinder. On the LA, they eliminated the baffle port,...

Here are a few pictures of mine back in 2004. It was an easy build. Maybe this will help get you encouraged to build yours. Have fun.

RE: Brodak Pathfinder- Any Lessons Learned Out There ??

Luke,
Yes. I do get a smile on my face every time I fly the Pathfinder. It is one of my all time favorites and has treated me very well.
The tank is uniflow with a 4 1/2 ounce capacity. I...

Turned 62 last month. Started control line in 1958. Got into RC in 1963 with a FOX .15 powered MIDWEST Esquire using a single channel MIN-X and Babcock rubber powered escapement for rudder-only...

RE: Broke the Drive Washer!

Yep. I'm using my ST .51 for control line. It's in a Pathfinder and hauls it effortlessly in a steady 4 stroke through the entire pattern. Even in a slow, steady 4 stroke it pulls hard and maintains...

RE: magnum gp 40

This TOWER .40 carb will fit your MAGNUM GP .40 as well as the OS. 40FP (The TOWER .40 and the MAGNUM GP .40 were clones of the OS .40FP). Plus it's cheaper than the OS carb.

RE: The pathfinder or the P-40 B? which help

What's that brown stuff on my engine??

Yep. It is burnt on oil from your fuel. It doesn't hurt the performance of your engine (unless it gets so thick it hinders engine cooling). There are several commercial cleaners available at your...
