actually the lower the number of winds the less run time you will get because the larger wires will be able to carry more current and drain your battery in a shorter amount of time.

well, i gave it a shot and wow! flight time with a 6 cell 3000 mah nimh pack went down slightly but there's a rather noticeable throttle difference and climbing speed increase! i didn't expect it...

battery charging question

I charge my 6 cell 3000 mah packs at 3 amps max. They get warm (but not hot) to the touch when fully charged.
