RE: 900Mhz antena question....

Yagi antennas are usually higher gain at the expense of beamwidth. A patch like this one is a good compromise. Often overlooked is the ability, or lack thereof, of an antenna to reject signals coming...

RE: 900Mhz antena question....

That is a tough question to answer unless you specify the vertical and horizontal beamwidth for each design.

It should be obvious that the higher the gain, the narrower it will be. And getting...

RE: A/V Cable

Hi N,

No, you won't see a problem. It takes quite a long length of cable before you can see the effect of an unmatched cable impedance.

RE: Antenna Q?

Hi Tony,

The dBi of an antenna is not really the Q, but rather it is the gain. The gain of an antenna can be a deceiving figure since usually, the higher the gain, the narrower the beamwidth....

RE: Interference avoidance

You might first check if any of the frequencies you quoted are legal in the USA. I'm not sure whether any of them are or not.

RE: Leveling Video Images in Flight

The reason that I ask is that while a gyro won't give you a good constant correction, it is very good at cutting the accelerations at the start of a bank or pitch change. I have used gyros in series...

RE: wireless video transmission, with arduino?

Digital video bandwidth requirements are huge. You might consider using standard analog transmission and a USB video converter at the output of the video receiver.

RE: VIDEO LINK TO MONITOR PLATFORM FROM HELI???

It will if the Canon has a standard definition video port (either NTSC for North America, or PAL for the rest of the known universe).

RE: Still photos....help

Many people choose cameras that have a standard broadcast video output (NTSC or PAL) or mount a small video camera nearby and live-link the video down to some video goggles or similar so they can...

RE: Questions about turbines

I'm sure there will be others that have their favorites, but here is a place to start. I've never owned a turbine, but I've been intrigued by them for years.

RE: Solutions for Longe Range Powerplant System

Well my point in asking is that if motor/controllers are not presently very inefficient, then even a new type of 100% efficient motor/controller would not make a significant contribution to your...

RE: Solutions for Longe Range Powerplant System

Hi!

I have two questions:

1.What do you think the efficiency of a high quality brushless motor and controller combined is?

2. What do you think the efficiency of a high quality,...

RE: FSM Co-Pilot compatibility with Spektrum DX7 Tx

The output of these receivers is no different from any - they drive the same servos as all receivers. So the FMA is compatible since it sits between the receiver and the servos.

RE: diversity reciever Question

Hi RCKing,

Your receiver puts out standard broadcast NTSC (in the USA) or PAL video. It would be a very rare PC that could make use of that signal without having to first convert it. There are...

RE: Cheapest non-2.4 FPV system??

Hi!

It's not clear to me if you will be able to do head tracking with a Spektrum. Most systems that I have seen use Futaba transmitters because of Futaba's better ability to externally gain...
