RE: FOAM TIRES NTC3!!!

To answer your original question, yes, 30mm rears (0 deg offset) and 26mm fronts are the correct sizes for 200mm nitro. If you're running a 200mm body, and it's mounted correctly, then the tires...

RE: hi torque steering servo for ntc3

You give up some speed with the 645 to get extra torque that you probably don't need on the NTC3. That's why it works so good on the Savage.

A happy medium in the same price range is the Hitec...

RE: One way bearing same for pullstart and rotostart?

Yes it is.

The Traxxas #4011 is the same one-way as well, but it's $3 cheaper.

RE: XTM 24.7 pro

I have two FT NTC3's for real speed. I'll post a couple pic's of the Savage when I get home.

The 4-wheel drive makes the handling much better. The front wheels pull the truck through the...

RE: XTM 24.7 pro

The one-way is inside the case. I have not heard about the issue with the "lip". The backplate is non-metal. Don't know what the actual material is. I don't know of a compatible replacement; mine...

RE: XTM 24.7 pro

I'm running a 19/49 on an xtm pro. I race it onroad. Can't compare it to a picco, but it's significantly faster than the HPI 25. I've lost a bit of low end due to the high end gearing, but it...

RE: ntc3 ver2 rear end is it worth it?

Yes it is.

I saw improvement in amount of steering, and consistency in set-up.

RE: NTC3 Fuel Tank?

Save your money. The k-factory tank only marginally moves the cg. I've seen no performance difference.

Prior to when the AE tank was modded with the in-cap pressure nipple, the k-factory tank...

RE: looking for k factory parts

FWIW -

I ran the K-Factory centax on one of my NTC3's. It became so hard to find gears, other than 22/26, that I quit running it in favor of a different centax.

RE: HPI Savage's brake?

I've been driving mine for a year with the stock brake. Braking was fine. A couple of days ago the brake disc spun on the hub; the hub probably failed due to heat, force, etc....

My HPI dual...

RE: foam tires wearing unevenly

Save your money and get the Ofna. Don't get me wrong, I really like the Hudy gear. But, the Ofna automatic truer with the Hudy carbide bit inserted is loads cheaper.

RE: Setting the FT NTC3 Front Blade Roll Bar

Don't know what "chevy" body you're running. If it does not have a wing, then the stock set-up would be way off.

Get yourself a 200mm touring body. I've run the Stratus, MG and Alfa touring...

RE: Setting the FT NTC3 Front Blade Roll Bar

The ball is in the cup when mine are pushed back in the blocks. The ball produces a side force on the cup, or vice versa, to lift the opposite side. If you take the shocks off, the movement should...

RE: Setting the FT NTC3 Front Blade Roll Bar

Mine are pushed back into the mounts to their limit, and this places the ball/cup in the correct position. When the blade is in and the shocks are removed, the front end should move freely, without...

RE: camber setting?

Typically, the touring cars run negative camber (top of the tire closer to the chassis than the bottom). I don't know about that specific chassis, but I'm running -3 degrees front and rear on my...

RE: NTC3 shock tower version 2 question

On the v2, the rear body posts have been moved behind the shock tower.

As gosha said, all you need to do is drill the v1's and flip the posts.

RE: proline rims

I would strongly recommend the 40 series Outback Welds from Proline, instead of the V6's. You need to purchase the adapter set from sav central; I have NEVER stripped a wheel with this set up.

RE: new air filter is over heating my engine

With the MS air filter, my HPI .25 runs well between 4-5/8ths and 4-7/8ths on the HSN, and 3 on the LSN. Usually about 240 - 250F.

RE: A little discussion of 1-way diffs

You didn't say if you had any experience with touring cars. If this is your first, then the one-way will be a bit frustrating to learn, as braking almost always will cause a spin-out.

The FT...
