Further to my last post. This is the address for the CR-914 painting article. I followed this to the letter and it worked great.

I was sceptical about the Krylon part and had trouble finding...

Sunlight will eventually discolor ABS, but it takes a long time.

I painted my ABS hull with Krylon, wet sanded it with the highest grade black paper I could find and then polished it with liquid...

Batteries don't seem to mind getting wet once in a while. Rx and switch should be mounted under the deck (velcro). Connections can be coated with silicon (Radio Shack, in a tube). On windy days,...

Soling 1 metre. Not the easiest to build, but a very large class. Sails well. Help building available on the web. Hull needs to be strengthened for competitive sailing.
