RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hey all,
Well, I finally got my Tornado out and running. I'm pretty pleased with the engine. In the past I've had trouble keeping my trx .15 engine running, but this one ran really well without...

RE: How tight should the screw holding the clutch bell be?

Ok, great! I think I've got it. I had to remove all the shims and just keep the washer and lock washer, but it fully tightens, and the bell spins freely. Thanks again.
There also seemed to be an...

RE: How tight should the screw holding the clutch bell be?

Hey thanks for the help.
I am in fact replacing the original clutch bell with the newer steel one. I don't have a pic yet, but the set up looks like this: screw, lock washer, washer, 2 shims,...

How tight should the screw holding the clutch bell be?

Hey all,
I'm just wondering how tight the screw that holds the clutch bell on should be. If I tighten it all, it seems to bind up the clutch bell and keep it from spinning freely. If i don't...

RE: Is this the bearing I need?

Hi,
I'm afraid I've lost the part tag. I ordered some time last fall, and it must have got misplaceds somewhere. All the gear itself says is "47".

Is this the bearing I need?

Hey all,

I have a stripped 47t spur in 2 speed Tornado. I ordered a replacement spur, and the one I got has a different sized hole for the one way bearing. My original bearing is too small to...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hey that's great - Thanks for your help
As far as shipping goes, I know that if you just send it surface, non insured etc... the rates aren't too bad. The cheapest rate would be fine, as I'm not...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hi chevyderek72,

I think I'll take you up on the offer for the spur gear. I ordered one along with the clutch bell, but when I went to install it, I found out it's a different part. In the...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hey thanks for the spur gear offer. It's the one I need. I'm just afraid that if I only replaced the spur, I'd end up with it being stripped pretty soon. I'm thinking of ordering the steel bell,...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Thanks for tuning tips. hopefully I didn't hurt it running wide open on the bench to check for stalling.
I guess at this point I need to figure out what replacement parts i need. I checked with...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hi, thanks for the welcome.

As for the stalling, I just wanted to make it clear that it only stalls on wide open throttle. I was driving it around at high throttle no problem. Is it safe to...

RE: Redcat Racing Tornado Thread

Hey all,
I picked up a used Tornado BB from a friend. It had a broken lower arm so I couldn't do anything with it until now. I took it out for a spin today, and found that the engine ran nicely...

RE: GV Rhino 4WD RTR 1/10 - User kinda-review (now with pics!!)

Hey, thanks for the review. My friend is looking at getting an offroad buggy, and I saw one of these in a shop here. So the stock battery is really that bad? Did it last a bit longer after a few...

RE: micro gas 2 strokes

Guys,
I've managed to keep the car running through a couple of tanks of fuel, running around a small parking lot. It's been cooler here, so I think it might be easier to tune. I've also rerouted...

RE: micro gas 2 strokes

Guys,
Thanks for the tips.
Timmahh, is inertia sucking fuel from the carb a common problem? How do you suggest rerouting the fuel line? Looking at the design of the fuel tank, it seems pretty...

RE: micro gas 2 strokes

Hi Badz,

I've been trying out my compagnucci again, hoping that this time I'd be able to keep it running. Like you said it starts easily and idles well. My problem is that when I'm running it...

Thanks,
so looking at this chasis, what would say it is most likely a copy of. As I said, it's a superten size.

Traxxas superten?

Hey all,

I got this car given to me years ago. I was told at different shops here (Taiwan) that it is a Traxxas car, and indeed, when I bought spare parts for it they were in Traxxas packaging....
