RE: First kit suggestions?

I personally prefer the looks of the Sig Cub. Here's the 1/6 scale version: http://sigmfg.com/cgi-bin/dpsmart.exe/MainMenuFV5.html?E+Sig

or the 1/5 scale version:...

RE: Phoenix UK Simulator with Aircraft

I love Phoenix and it's heli simulation but I think it is rather terrible with regards to planes. Slow flight is painfully unrealistic. Planes want to stall at 1/2 throttle making high alpha flight...

RE: Lithium TX Pack for Futaba 9C &10C

RE: First Kit suggestions

Mike

Why do you recommend clipping the wings on a Cub? I've flown a few standard wing configurations and thought they flew well.

RE: JR- Futaba 2.4..Cant decide....

I honestly believe that model match is not that important of a feature. I always double check to make sure I have the correct model loaded up before Ieven turn on the heli or plane. I've never had an...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58

Yep, it's side mounted.  The head sticks out no more than a couple millimeters.  That's just a guess right now, but it certainly doesn't stick out much at all.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58

It's been a while for this thread. How is everyone liking the Extra? I've been having problems with the wheel pants and the axles. The right wheel continually tightens when I tighten up the wheel...

RE: Who is attending IRCHA?

I'll be there too. My first time and I'm very excited! Only about a 3 hour drive, so not too bad. Be there Friday through Sunday.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Hey man, go for it! The EF is a great airframe. You'll just have to be very careful with that much engine. I cruise around at like 1/4-1/3 throttle with the 82. It's a freakin rocket!

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Maidened mine this past Sunday. Put a couple more flights on it today. The Saito 82 pulls it straight up until I can barely see it anymore. I like it! A lot of the guys have commented on how its...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

The maiden for mine with the Saito 82 will be tomorrow. Ran the engine for a bit today in the back yard to put some time on it and try to get it ready so I wouldn't have to putz around with it...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Should I just go ahead and mount the engine inverted or side mount it? If I mount it sideways, would it stick out the side of the cowling a lot?

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Well, I should have the plane, engine, and servos sometime later this week. Can't wait to get it going!

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Is this a new Extreme Flight plane coming out? I am planning on running my Saito side mounted primarily cause I've had nothing but trouble running engines inverted.

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Are you guys have fuel draw problems with the Saito 82? I am getting ready to take the plunge and get myself the setup I showed and am slightly worried. Not really enough for me not to get it. :) ...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Thanks for the reply.

I think I'm looking at this setup:
Saito .82
Hitec HS-225MG for aileron and elevator
Hitec HS-635HB for rudder
Hitec HS-81 for throttle (already have)

I am in...

RE: Extreme Flight Extra 58"

Good thread here guys! I'm definitely looking at this plane with either a Saito 72 or 82. Plan to run my Wildcat 30% heli fuel in it so I don't have to carry two types of fuel.

RE: What engine for 90 Yak?

I like two strokes cause that's what I'm familiar with, but I fly helis now and would like to take only one type of fuel (30%) with me. I could fly the Saito on 30%. Hmm..

RE: 30% heli fuel in an OS 120 AX or 160FX?

Thanks guys. I figured it probably would be a stretch considering that the manual states only going up to like 20 or 25%.
