I am securing them to the "doubled rib" that I built into the wing. I needed to cover it first though. Good looking out though. ;)

A small amount of progress has been made, I covered the bottem of the wing and the struts epoxied in place covered.

I got the wing struts all hinged and the clevises installed. The servo mounts are in place and the elevator push rods are made. I made hatches for the wing servos too.

A little more progress, it should be time to start covering soon.
I sure hope it flys good. I flew a cub arf (I don't know what brand it was) and man did it fly like junk!

Making more progress, the cabins bottom is sheeted and the stringers are installed on the rear section of the fuselage including the fin. I also the dowels inplace to hold the stab.

Thanks for the tip, I would imagine that doubling the spruce with some thin balsa would go unnoticed and add a fair amount of strength when the joints are staggered.

The fuselage is all stick built and takes some time. I used a bench sander to get all the angles cut even, it was time consuming but it made all the joints very tight. The instructions on the...

The kit is a full wing, but I have a OS Surpass 48 that I want to put in it and that would be way to much motor for it, so I removed two rib sections from each wing. I guess I should have do it...

Sig 1/6 Cub Build

I have started the build on a 1/6 sig Cub build that I got on ebay. It is an old old kit but it is in great shape. All the parts are there so far the building is going well.
