Running an 8000 on 6 cell gp1100's mip diff, stock idler plastic spur and delrin pinion just make sure you glue the pinion on or it will slip and melt

Ok update on Mamba 3 cell lith and losi mini-t Temp's

Been running recently on reduced gearing 12/61 as opposed to stock 15/61 and my temps are way down.

Temp'd it during the day after...

Ok heres some more food for thought...

Mamba 8000kv running on 12.6 V (for arguments sake) runs at approx 100 thousand RPM (assuming no load etc)

A 2500kv motor running on 42V (again...

I need something to compare to other than its hot!!!
Ive lost magnets due to over heating and had magnets fly off due to the epoxy melting.

I realise it is a different aplication but the temperatures at which magnets and epoxy fail remains the same problem.
The mamba runs VERY hot compared...

Tried my mamba out lastnight with 3 cell Kokam 1500 on Deans
Put hand in front of it and applied throttle cogged a bit then started ripping chunks of carpet out[X(]:)

How come you got no IR...
