I can say with certainty, there is no problem with using the BEC function of a CC 45 ESC. Mine powers 4 JR mini servos, I've had over 25 flights (90% on floats), even on 90Â° days without a problem.

I have tried doing that, it kind of worked in terms of keeping water out. But the problem is water formed by condensation cannot escape, unless you have a way to create a vacuum.
