Sorry KC36330, didn't know that. Back here in Eurotown we just call it the P120.
Yes kerostart is known to me , I'm about to buy a new P160 (with kero of course.)...

In all it is clear that in order to drain a 1250 milamps battery in two short bursts (my P120 non kero start drained it in 3 starts) this starting is almost like making a short.

I just spoke to both brothers v.d Vecht on a meeting, they confirm that the kerostart puts a heavy extra load on the battery, so to go for either Lipo or stick to NC is a good one. For me...

Wise decision.

Make sure You enlong the leads both from power and balancer conn in case You have to stow the batteries in some hard to reach place.
Use a good charger and balancer...

The Std 1250 only suffice for about 3 succesful starts/flights, after that it is unwise to fly w/o recharging (no problem for fast charge with NiCad)
I have replaced them initially with NiMh, but...
