RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

Based on my experiences with the 15cc engines on my Bronco and watching my buddy's H9 Pawnee fly on 4 stroke, I would say it should be a good engine for this airplane. The engine runs great and...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I had a similar problem. It turned out to be the cheap spark plug they ship with these engines. When I installed an NGK CM-6 the problem went away. Try the Dielectric grease and the NGK plug.

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I have 2 of these little engines on a Bronco. They are not power houses but they should pull the Telemaster well. Use one of the better rated props (Zoar, JFX, Top Fight Power Point, etc) to get...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I have been flying my Bronco with the 2 15cc engines for the past few weeks and continue to be very impressed with the performance and reliability. They are still far from being fully broken but it...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

The bare engine weighs about the same as the equivalent glow engine. When you add the ignition, switch, and battery pack, you are going to get almost a pound extra. Bottom line, more weight, less...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

These numbers are from the 2nd post on this thread. I got these numbers on the first tank of 91 octane gas on Penzoil air cooled 32-1. I used Pe Reviers' Thrust calculator for the thrust values. So...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

From my experience with these 15cc engines on my Bronco, I would strongly recommend that you try a Xoar, JFX, or Top Flight Power Point 14x8 or 15x6 prop. I think you will be surprised how much...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

Depending on the prop, a 15x8 may be a bit much for the 15cc.

I was getting these numbers with the stock muffler, 32:1 premium gas/no ethanol, Penzoil air cooled oil, and not broken in:

...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I'm probably the only guy flying these engines on a twin. I'm flying the Uravitch 81" Bronco. I posted the results of my first flight 3 weeks ago. I was able to get back out today and make 4 more...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

Performance report.

I finally got a chance to fly my Uravitch Bronco with the RCGF 15cc engines today. I had tested a number of props but chose the Master Airscrew 14x7 3 blade because of the...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I bought 2 of these little engines from David at Gas RC Hobby Engines to put on my new Uravitch 81" Bronco. His support and service is great. I had custom mufflers built by Bisson and rotated one...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

I don't have 14x4W. I think the 14x4W would not be enough prop for this engine. I do have a 15x4W. I ran it on one of the first engines and got the best performance of all props I tried using Pe's...

RE: 15cc Gas RCGF engine information thread

Henry,

With the right prop I got the 9.46 static on the new engines. This new engine is not a powerhouse compared to a good glow engine and it is heavier. But is producing more than 8 pounds....
