sounds like your battery need to be replaced. i replaced mine when that happenned. your might have shorted the battery accidentally or you flew your heli till the battery dried out. when i replaced...

orlando, i agreed with gtxslotcar. turn everything off first( unplug the heli battery, then switch off the tx.)

the left stick on mode two radio is "rudder" . without the throttle up, rudder...

i tried to answer about ground effect;

1. it is gravitational effect when your model heli or plane are close to ground. some of our control input won't be effective, the gravity will pull down...
